20,00020,000 is a research project exploring bike theft in London. The result is a series of distorted locks which playfully comment on the routine dismantlement of bikes and locks by thieves in London. The title 20,000 refers to the average number of bikes reported stolen each year in London. The collection utilises some of the abandoned materials (alongside new material) and manipulates them into a new form.
